Anchor Kidz

Anchor Kidz is a ministry dedicated to serving children and their families in our local communities. Our focus is the spiritual, mental, and physical growth of our children.

We strive to teach children the Bible on an age appropriate level so that they understand the message that is being presented to them.

Children will develop a foundation in Christ as we teach them how to read and understand Scripture, learn the discipline of prayer, and grow a heart of worship.

Anchor Kidz Ministry wants to equip our children to spread the love and hope of Jesus Christ to the lost and broken.

Our purpose at Anchor Kidz is to develop God centered families. Our core values are God’s Word, Prayer, Reliance of the Holy Spirit, Heart of Worship, and Loving God and Others. To read more about our values, click here.

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

Class Curriculum

Cuttlefish (6 months - 2 years) and Sea Turtles (2 years - Kindergarten)

In these classes, all activities are age appropriate, using sensory experiences, hands on Bible stories, and interactive toys. The curriculum in this class room is designed to lay the foundation of the child’s relationship with God. We use the “Bible App for Kids” curriculum which is a two-year study that takes kids through the Bible. These classrooms support and strive toward our mission of Anchor Kidz which is that children will develop a foundation in Christ as we teach them how to read and understand Scripture, learn the discipline of prayer, and grow a heart of worship.

Sailors (5 years - 11 years)

Sundays:

The Sailors class is on a journey studying through the Bible using a curriculum called, “Gospel Project.” The Gospel Project for Kids tells a single story—the story of Jesus and His mission to seek out and restore lost people to God. Each book, chapter, and verse of the Bible in both the Old Testament and the New Testament is part of that one overarching gospel narrative. From cover to cover, it’s all about Jesus. He is the thread woven throughout the pages of Scripture that holds it all together (Lk. 24:27). The Gospel Project for Kids is a curriculum designed to guide children on a chronological journey through the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—to encounter Jesus and learn the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. To truly understand the story of salvation is to discover God’s missionary heart. And discovering God’s heart will lead kids to love Him more and embrace His invitation to join in the story by sharing Jesus to the world.

This journey of studying thorough the Bible will take us three years. We encourage each family to review the lessons and Scripture memory at home. We believe that each child should have an equal opportunity to learn on their level. In our services we have hands on activities, games, videos, graphics, small groups, and worship to give each child an opportunity to hear about God and His Word. Our goal in Anchor Kidz is that each child would grow a personal relationship with God and that they would grow a firm foundation in Him.

Wednesdays:

We use the Action Bible Curriculum on Wednesdays with our Elementary kids. This curriculum is designed to guide kids through finding spiritual answers and developing their own value system. Through digging deep into Scriptures, building relationships with God and others we pray our kids will have grow into mighty warriors for God's Kingdom. Come out to Wednesday Bible Study and your kids will experience high energy games, Bible Video, Worship, and so much more.

Safety

Your child’s safety is our first priority. All Anchor Kidz volunteers are required to pass through an extensive screening process, including interviews, as well as reference and background checks. There are procedures in place outlining how to respond in case of evacuation, lockdown, or injury, and a security team to ensure your child’s safety. We also utilize a detailed check-in/check-out system and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.

Check-In

We can't wait for you to visit! The first time your child gets checked in, you will need to fill out a form with basic information concerning your child. This information will be entered into our database to help maintain our secure check-in system. Please note only individuals over 18 and on the approved pick-up list can check your child out of Anchor Kidz.
